Keerthy Suresh is an acclaimed Indian actress predominantly known for her work in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. Born on October 17, 1992, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, she is the daughter of G. Suresh Kumar, a well-known producer in the Malayalam film industry, and Menaka, a popular actress from the 1980s. Keerthy’s upbringing in a film-centric family played a pivotal role in shaping her career in the entertainment industry.
Keerthy completed her schooling in Chennai and later pursued a degree in fashion design at Pearl Academy, Chennai. During her academic years, she showed an interest in films and also completed an internship in Scotland. Before starting her acting career, Keerthy considered a career in fashion but ultimately decided to follow in her parents’ footsteps.
Keerthy made her acting debut as a child artist in the Malayalam films “Pilots” (2000) and “Kuberan” (2002), produced by her father. Her debut as a lead actress came in the 2013 Malayalam film “Geethaanjali”, where she played dual roles. The film received positive reviews, and her Performance was noted.
She ventured into Tamil cinema with “Idhu Enna Maayam” (2015) and quickly became a favorite for her natural acting style and expressive features. Her breakthrough in Telugu came with “Nenu Sailaja” (2016) alongside Ram Pothineni.
One of her most celebrated performances was in the biographical film “Mahanati” (2018), where she portrayed the legendary actress Savitri. Her exceptional performance earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress and widespread acclaim.
